Prosegue incessante lo sviluppo di uTorrent, il famoso client per le reti BitTorrent. È stata infatti il 07 Marzo 2011 è stata rilasciata una nuova Versione 3.0 (build 25.043). In questa versione sono stati corretti vecchi problemi di funzionamento, non è più richiesto il port forwarding per far funzionare al meglio l'applicazione, ed è possibile disabilitare i tracker UDP.
μTorrent team ha unito i loro due progetti sperimentali Falcon e Griffin in uTorrent 3,0 alpha. Il progetto Falcon consente di riprodurre i video mentre si effettua il download.
